Where do you live?
We live in the Washington DC area. United States of America.
How do you describe yourself?
We're Andrés and Christina, making music in Spanish and English for children and families. Our shows are bilingual, bicultural, interactive and fun! We've also released several albums – please look for them on any of the streaming platforms.
What do you do?
This fall we have concerts planned in Los Angeles, Sacramento, many spots in the Bay Area, Chicago, Boston, Washington, DC, and Mexico City... just to name a few! We might be visiting your city... or even your school!
For 2020, we are visiting even more cities for concerts, and we're working on new music to release in the spring of next year, and videos, too. Find our newest videos on our YouTube Channel (youtube.com/123andres). Plus, our first books for children will release in 2020 through Scholastic.
How many languages do you speak and sing?
We speak English and Spanish. We are learning ASL (American Sign Language), French and Portuguese, and we like picking up new words of other languages when we can!
In which ways are you willing to help community and families (locally and worldwide)?
We are proud to make music in Spanish and English to support families who are growing bilingually - whether you are just learning another language, or already fluent. We see our songs as tools for learning, and we are proud when we hear from families who sing at home, or teachers who are using our songs in their classroom. Our songs and concerts also have themes of friendship, curiosity and learning – we hope to inspire children and families to be proud of their heritage and respectfully curious about that of our friends and neighbors.

Dónde vives?
Vivimos en la área metropolitana de Washington, DC. USA
Cómo se describen?
Somos Andrés y Christina, y hacemos música bilingüe y bicultural en inglés y español para niños y familias. Hacemos conciertos por todos los Estados Unidos y en Latinoamérica, y hacemos música que pueden escuchar en cualquier lado.
Qué hacen?
En lo que queda de este año, vamos a hacer conciertos en Los Angeles, Sacramento, varias ciudades de la Área de la Bahía (CA), Chicago, Boston, Washington, DC, y Ciudad de México - ¡entre otros! Para el 2020, vamos a ir a aún más ciudades para cantar con las familias, y también vamos a lanzar más música nueva, así como videos nuevos. Qué idiomas hablas y cantas?
Hablamos inglés y español, y estamos aprendiendo lenguaje de señas americano (ASL) francés y portugués. Cuando conocemos a alguien que habla otro idioma, nos encanta tener la oportunidad de que nos enseñen aunque sea una palabra en su idioma.
En que maneras estas dispuesta a ayudar a tu comunidad y familias (localmente y mundialmente)?
Nos llena de orgullo hacer música en inglés y español para apoyar a las familias que están criando a sus hijos de manera bilingüe - ya sea que estén a penas aprendiendo un segundo idioma, o que hablen los dos idiomas con fluidez. Diseñamos las canciones como herramientas para aprender, y nos llena de orgullo oír de familias que cantan en casa, y de maestras y maestros que usan la música con sus estudiantes. Además, incluimos en nuestras canciones y conciertos los temas de amistad y curiosidad. Ojalá que nuestras canciones ayuden a que los niños vivan orgullosos de sus raíces, y que se interesen por aprender sobre la herencia de los otros miembros de nuestra comunidad.
