4 match Colombia vs. Uruguay
I was so nervous before this game!! I really wanted for Colombia to win and they actually did!! We ended up having another little party with friends and neighbors that decided to support Colombia and I even painted my nails!!
Estaba super nerviosa antes de este partido!! Realmente queria que Colombia ganara y lo hicieron!!! Terminamos teniendo otra fiestecita con amigos y vecinos que decidieron apoyar a Colombia y hasta me pinte las uñas!!!
When I was little, one of the favorite things that my grandmother made was arepuelas. They can be salty or sweet, and so versatile that you can create many variations with this recipe, add different flavors, different toppings, in a soup or by themselves. The ingredients are the same for crepes but this ones are fry and that creates crunchy edges that are so good. This is how you make Colombian arepuelas:
Cuando era niña, una de las cosas que me gustaba que mi abuelita hiciera eran las arepuelas. Pueden ser saladas o dulces, y son tan versatiles que puedes hacer muchas variaciones con esta receta, añadir diferentes sabores, diferentes ingredientes por encima, en una sopa o solas. La receta es la misma que los crepes pero estas se fritan y eso les da orillas crujientes que son deliciosas. Asi es como se hacen las arepuelas Colombianas:
Arepuelas

INGREDIENTS = INGREDIENTES
2 cups of wheat flour = 2 tazas de harina de trigo
1 egg = 1 huevo
essence of vanilla or other ingredient to saborize = esencia de vainilla o otro ingrediente para saborizar
water = agua
salt or sugar to taste(depends of the recipe you want to make) = sal o azúcar al gusto (depende de la receta que quieras tener).
Oil to fry = aceite para freir
Put some water and the flour first in a container, mix a little and then add the egg, sugar or salt and flavor. Mix until you have a good mix. I will recommend add water until you have a runny mixture.
Pon algo de agua y la harina primero, mezcla un poco y después añade el huevo, el azúcar o la sal y el sabor. Mezclar hasta que tengas obtengas una contextura mas liquida que espesa. Añadir el agua que sea necesaria.
Heat the oil in a deep pan and when is hot, start dropping of the mixture. I will recommend making little ones because is easier to turn them. Also, try to don't make them thick if you like them crunchy. Fry on both sides and then remove them to a paper towel. After that, they are ready to eat. They are very good fresh and you can add them your favorite topping. We like to put on them sugar, chocolate sauce, and jelly. Use your imagination!!!
Calienta el es que por pequeñas hacerlas recomiendo. Yo encima como mezcla la poner a empieza, caliente este cuando y profunda sartén una en aceitemás fácil voltearlas. Tambien trata de no hacerlas tan gruesas si te gusta que queden crujientes. Frita por los dos lados y sacalas a una toalla de papel para escurrir. Después de eso ya estan listas para comer!! son muy ricas recién hechas y les puedes añadir el ingrediente que prefieras. Nosotros les ponemos azúcar en polvo, salsa de chocolate o mermelada. Usa tu imaginación!!!

Good soccer and sportmanship, two wonderful teams, (I really like Japan) display in a very exciting match. Colombian team did not lost their time and at every opportunity they score new goals. Colombia won 4-1. I feel that Japan made its best effort in scoring one goal for their country. Still very happy to see that Colombia is going to the next stage. Now we will have to play with Uruguay!! Have you heard about the bite controversy?? Do you think that this player should be keep playing the Cup??? What do you think?? We will see what happen Saturday.
Buen fútbol y deportividad, dos maravillosos equipos, (realmente me gusta Japón) fue observado en este emocionante partido. El equipo colombiano no perdio su tiempo y anotaron un gol cada vez que tuvieron la oportunidad. Colombia ganó 4-1. Siento que el equipo Japones hizo su mejor esfuerzo en anotar un gol para su país. De todas maneras me siento muy feliz de ver que Colombia ha pasado a la segunda etapa. Ahora tenemos que jugar con Uruguay!! Han escuchado de la controversia del mordisco?? Que piensan?? debería seguir jugando este jugador??? Veremos que pasa el Sábado.
2 Match of Colombia Vs. Ivory Coast
The most expected match with Ivory Coast was a blast!!! The whole country of Colombia was dressed in the yellow colors from head to toe, whenever we went we were able to see someone sporting the uniform and exchanging a smile. My daughter used her uniform again and we enjoyed the match at home!!! what a great match!!! Colombia won 2-1 and they will be going to the next stage, to play with the teams of the other groups!!! I will like to share some of the pictures of our last soccer watching party Colombia-Greece!!! we had so much fun!! I am looking forward to the match with Japan.
Sharing with family and friends is the most important part ;).
El juego tan esperado con Costa de Marfil fue buenisimo!!! Todo el país de Colombia estaba vestido de los colores de las selección desde la cabeza hasta los pies, donde quiera que se iba se podía ver a alguien con el uniforme e intercambiando sonrisas. Mi hija uso su uniforme de nuevo y miramos el juego en casa!! que buen juego!! Colombia gano 2-1 y clasificaron para ir a la segunda ronda y jugar con los equipos de otros grupos!! Me gustaría compartir algunas de las fotos de nuestra última fiesta en la que vimos el partido Colombia-Grecia!! nos divertimos mucho!! Estoy esperando el juego con Japón. Compartir con la familia y amigos es la parte más importante :).

We had the most expected party at our house for the first match of Greece vs. Colombia!!! friends from many countries came to our house to share soccer!! I have to admit, I love to hear the hyms!! every team sings it with such pride and sentimental vibe!! Here is a video of Colombian hymn in the stadium!!! Wow! So many Colombians in Brazil!! Colombia won 3-0.
Tuvimos la fiesta mas esperada en nuestra casa para el primer juego de Grecia vs. Colombia!! amigos de muchos países se reunieron en nuestra casa para compartir el fútbol!! tengo que admitir, amo escuchar los himnos al principio del partido!! cada equipo canta con tanto orgullo y sentimiento!!
