Wynwood, Miami

Distrito de las artes de Miami, con controversia por la gentrificación de la area, pero sin duda un lugar magnífico para mirar grafittis y asistir a diferentes galerias. El mejor momento para ir con niños sin duda son los segundos sábados del mes en el atardecer en los cuales tienen caminatas de arte, con camiones de comida (yum) y con muchas galerias abiertas para caminar. Si hay que caminar mucho y es mejor traer zapatos cómodos. El parqueado es un poco complicado, pues puedes pagarle a una persona del vecindario por un lugar cercano o parquear por gratis caminar. Existe un parque cerrado en el area que ofrece aire acondicionado durante el día y clases para niños, es un poco caro, pero no esta abierto en las noches. Lugares que debes visitar:

Walls of Wynwood: Con un excelente restaurante y muchos muros con arte para tomar fotos.

Food truck lot: Es la cuadra donde se reunen los camiones de comida y por lo general hay música y vendedores de manualidades y diferentes productos.

Caminar por las cuadras: Recuerda darte el espacio de caminar por varios bloques y buscar grafitis, hay unos buenisimos de artistas reconocidos.

The best time to go with kids are the second Saturdays each month in the evening, in which they have art walks, food trucks and many open galleries to explore. Yes, you need to walk a lot and is better to bring comfy shoes. Parking is a little complicated, you can pay a person in the neighborhood for a close spot or you can park for free but need to walk. There is an indoor playground that offers classes and play during the day, it is a little expensive, but is not open at night. Places you need to check:

Walls of Wynwood: Great restaurant and many walls to take pictures.

Food truck lot: This is the place where the food trucks are and usually has music and vendors.

Walk different blocks: Give yourself time to walk the blocks, there are many graffitis from worldwide artists.

Coral Castle and Redlands

Is a place that is really unexpected but so neat. All of us love it!! We were very impressed with the craftiness and resourcefulness of its creator, Mr. Ed an immigrant from Latvia that lost his love and that was so intelligent that all he did he learned by himself. Also, is a beautiful place to take pictures!! With kids this place is really good and child-friendly, it is hot in the summer but they have umbrellas that all the visitors can use. This place is really close to the other places that I am going to suggest next so they can visit the same day. Coral Castle. He created a table with the state of Florida shape, including lake Okeechobee. Also, a heart shape table for lovers and you can also renew your vows in Valentine's day every year. A solar clock that is very accurate. He lived in that place without running electricity or water but was able to make himself comfortable.

Fue un lugar muy inexperado pero maravilloso. A todos nosotros nos encanto!! Estamos muy impresionados por la creatividad y habilidad que su creación, el Señor Ed un imigrante de Latvia que perdio su amor y fue tan inteligente que todo lo que hizo por si mismo y lo aprendio en libros. También es un hermoso lugar para tomar fotos!! Este es un lugar muy bueno para los niños, es caliente en verano pero ofrecen sombrillas para todos los visitantes. Este lugar es cercano a otros lugares para poder visitar el mismo día. Coral Castle. El creó una mesa con la forma de el estado de la Florida, incluyendo en lago Okeechobee.

También, una mesa de corazón para los enamorados en la cual puedes renovar tus votos de matrimonio en el día de San Valentín.

El reloj solar es muy acertado.

El vivía en el lugar sin electricidad ni agua pero siempre vivió con comodidad.

Ed tenía fascinación con los planetas y la astronomía. También aprendia de todas las culturas antiguas y trato de tener un homenaje a cada una de ella.

Redlands

Robert is here: Wonderful fruit stand, famous spot, they have animals and a little water area for children. The wide selection of tropical fruits for sale and their shakes makes this place a must.

Fruit and Spice Park:

Wonderful park of edible tropical trees!!! This place is huge and has so many varieties of fruits that are a dream!! We loved this place. A little warning is that it is really hot during the summer so wear accordingly. We loved to walk around and try to identify the fruit trees. Beautiful!!

Maravilloso parque de árboles frutales!!! Este lugar es muy grande y tiene una maravillosa variedad de frutas que son un sueño!! Nos encanto este lugar. Un pequeño consejo es que puede ser muy caliente el clima en el verano asi que es bueno vestir ropa apropiada. Nos encanto caminar por medio de los árboles tratando de identificar los frutos. Hermoso!!

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center

Beautiful Nature Center in Boca Raton Florida that has several large tanks showing many of the species of marine animals of this area. Also, they teach about recycling and conservation. Many things to get discover. Click in the pic to go to their site.

One of our favorite museums around. Very accesible and with many events for families and children! Their collections and building are mesmerizing. Art After Dark every Thursday even in great. Click on the picture for their weekend family events.
