MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR
Every year, in the month of November, for the love of books, we take three train rides, from West Palm Beach to the Miami Book Fair.
Usually on day of the fair is free, a Friday, we go to the kids section of the fair, where they have different stations to complete, health, science, music, art and cultural stations, where you get a sticker and if you complete it all, children receive a free book!
Last year we got to see the presentation of Dav Pilkey, the writer of the famous series Captain Underpants!
We also met Kate Schatz, one of the collaborators for the amazing books Rad American Women A-Z! Those books are amazing, check them out!
The kids have so much fun and they were able to get their books signed, and even an extra copy for the school's library!
After the fair, we got to jump into the metrorail, city mover, and we went to Bay Side where they had some Botero sculptures!
FERIA INTERNACIONAL DEL LIBRO DE MIAMI
Cada año, en el mes de Noviembre, por el amor a los libros, tomamos tres trenes, desde West Palm Beach hasta la feria del libro de Miami.
Generalmente un día de la feria es gratis, un viernes, ese día vamos a la sección de niños de la feria donde tienen varias carpas con diferentes temas, ciencia, salud, música, arte y cultura, puedes coger los stickers y completarlos, y al final obtener los niños obtienen un libro gratis!
El año pasado estuvimos en la presentación de Dav Pilkey, el autor de la afamada serie Las Aventuras del Capitán Calzoncillos!
También conocimos a Kate Schatz, una de las colaboradoras de la serie de libros Mujeres Radicales de América de la A-Z! Estos libros son super, buscalos!
Los niños se diviertieron mucho y pudieron autografiar varias copias de sus libros, hasta uno para su escuela!
Después de la feria, saltamos a los trencitos que llaman city movers, y fuimos a Bay Side, donde vimos algunas esculturas de Botero!
I came back to the fair by myself and I got to meet and hear, Gioconda Belli, Juan Felipe Herrera, Kay Ryan and Journalist Jorge Ramos. I love books and I also look forward to get books and go to their events in Spanish every year. Some years, I had found really good books. Let's see how this year will be!! Regresé a la feria sola y pude conocer y escuchar a Gioconda Belli, Juan Felipe Herrera, Kay Ryan, y el periodista Jorge Ramos. Yo amo los libros y todos los años anticipo ir a esta feria para conseguir libros en Español y sus eventos. Algunos años, hemos conseguidos muy buenos libros. Veremos como sera este año!
