3 and final game Honduras vs. Suiza
With a heavy heart we saw Honduras lose with Switzerland today. Honduras team had a lot of opportunities to have goal but they never found them. In order to qualify to the next stage, they had had to win with a difference of 2 goals and that is what Switzerland did!!! Congratulations to Switzerland and France to pass to the next phase of the World Cup!!!!
Con el corazón pesado vimos perder a Honduras hoy contra Suiza. El equipo Hondureño tuvo oportunidades para anotar pero ninguna se vió recompensada. Para haber pasado a la siguiente ronda, ellos hubieran tenido que ganar con una diferencia de 2 goles y eso fué lo que Suiza hizo!! Felicitaciones Suiza y Francia al pasar a la siguiente fase de la Copa del Mundial!!!!
2 game Honduras vs. Ecuador
The second game of Honduras was a bitter sweet game in our house. We celebrated so much the goal of Honduras by Costly and that by the way, broke the streak of no goals for Honduras in a World Cup since the one of 1982. Still, in our house we think that the annulated goal was a valid on, it was not a hand but chest, and that they could have tied with Ecuador. There is this Argentinian saying: "Soccer is not fair, Che". We only know that Honduras will have to depend from the rest of the games in their group and have a win against Switherland. El segundo juego de Honduras fue uno medio amargo en nuestra casa. Celebramos grandemente el gol de Honduras hecho por Costly y que en realidad, ha roto la maldición de Honduras de no tener goles en el mundial desde el de 1982. Sin embargo, en nuestra casa creemos que el gol que fué anulado era valido ya que no era una mano sino pecho, y hubieran empatado con Ecuador. Hay este dicho en Argentina: "El fútbol es injusto!! This game happened to be on Father's Day and our dad wasn't happy ;(. Honduras had a really hard time against France team. We didn't watch the game, but we listened to it in the car radio in our day trip. By the way, we use the app in our phones to listened radio all around the world, TuneIn Radio, which is wonderful!! The goal keeper Valladares was a shining star of Honduras team, but still, France was bigger and score 3-0. I will leave you with Honduras hymn to chear you up!!!
Este juego cayo preciso el día de los Padres y nuestro papá no estaba muy feliz ;(. Honduras tuvo un muy díficil encuentro con Francia. Nosotros no pudimos ver el juego, pero lo escuchamos en la radio del carro mientras ibamos a nuestro paseo. Para escucharlo, usamos el app en nuestro teléfono celular para escuchar radios de todo el mundo, TuneIn Radio, que es maravilloso! The stadiums are always vibrant with people that support their teams. In a sad but interesting fact, Honduras and El Salvador took part of the only war that has been blame to soccer in history. That happened in Mexico eliminatories in 1970. It shows how seriously this nation takes soccer. The war lasted 100 hours but spiked many feelings.

Los estadios siempre estan vibrando con personas que apoyan sus equipos. En un dato triste pero interesante, Honduras y el Salvador tomaron parte de la única guerra que ha sucedido por el fútbol en la historia. Esto paso para las eliminatorias para el Mundial de Mexico 1970. Esto demuestra que tan seriamente esta nación toma el fútbol. Esta guerra solo duró 100 horas pero hizo subir muchos sentimientos.
