Here are some of the questions we ask them:
Where do you live?
I live in Miami, Florida
How do you describe yourself?
I am and environmental educator, and work independently, and through a handful of organizations, to provide opportunities for people to learn about and connect to Florida's magical ecology. Through games, play, and hands-on interactive education, I strive to give participants a systemic understanding of Florida's ecology and how we are all connected to it. My goal is to contribute to the building of a fair, just, and sustainable world, by facilitating the formation of relationships between kids and the ecology that surrounds them.
What do you do?
In addition to working as an environmental educator, I am also a beekeeper We offer bee-focused educational workshops, and have a small business where we remove beehives from unwanted locations in peoples' houses and transfer them into our bee yards to keep them alive. My big project I'm working on right now though is "Swamped! in the Glades", an educational board game about the Everglades that I've been working on for years, and am trying to get incorporated into, and used by, schools around Florida.
How many languages do you speak and sing?
English
In which ways are you willing to help community and families (locally and worldwide)?
I try my best to incorporate big picture ideas around social justice into the education work that I do, and try my best to encourage and empower kids to think critically, ask questions, and have honest and open conversations. I hope this encourages more ideas and thought processes, and can eventually lead to actions that can affect communities and families. A specific way that I am trying to help families and community is by giving people more access to interactive learning tools. After I reach my funding goal on Kickstarter, and get "Swamped! in the Glades" printed, 500 of the games are going to go directly into Title 1 schools for free. For many years I have been committed to a handful of social justice organizations in Miami, doing what I can to follow their lead and support the work that they are doing.

Vivo en Miami, Florida, US.
